Student Music Festival – December 2026
One of the two student concerts Sally holds each year. Everyone is welcome to play, and families are very welcome to come and listen.

Our end of year concert. Everyone is welcome to play, including complete beginners and adults, and families are very welcome in the audience.
A friendly afternoon, not a competition
One or two pieces
Most students play a single piece, or two if they are further along. Sally chooses them with the student.
Before the concert
The pieces are prepared in lessons over the preceding weeks. Extra practice at home makes the day much easier.
On the day
Arrive a little early and find a seat. Students are called up in a relaxed order, youngest first.
What to wear
Smart casual. Something they are comfortable sitting at a piano in matters more than anything formal.
Photos
Consent is asked for on the registration form. Photos taken on the day go into a private page for those families.
Nervous students
Very common, and completely fine. Nobody is ever pushed on stage, and sitting this one out is a normal choice.
Other concerts
Sally holds a student concert twice a year, and there are past programmes going back years.
